Consolidated Products

Dresser Measurement Division provides a broad range of Consolidated pressure relief valve solutions. All pressure relief valves operate on the basic principle that system pressure build-up overcomes an opposing load (typically provided by a mechanical spring), and then relieves pressure by allowing a defined capacity to flow through the valve. Dresser provides the following types of valves for these critical applications.

Safety Valves

Safety Valves (SVs) are automated pressure-relieving devices actuated by the static pressure upstream of the valve. SVs are characterized by a rapid full opening or pop action as the set pressure is reached, and are used mainly for gas or vapor service. Dresser provides safety and relief valves in various materials, including bronze, steel, and iron. Other configurations include power actuated valves and pilot-operated valves for steam applications.

Safety Relief Valves

Safety Relief Valves (SRVs) are automated pressure-relieving devices, which may be used in either a safety valve or relief valve mode as required for the application. SRVs are used to protect personnel and equipment by preventing excessive accumulation. Dresser offers flanged and screwed valves in a variety of sizes, materials, and options. Standard SRV configurations include spring-loaded and pilot-operated designs.
